Another chilly, windy day was the backdrop for today’s Maple Valley Jamboree at The Legacy at Hastings. Rolling hills made for some blind approach shots and slippery greens required precise approach shots, chips and putts. The Pilgrims have had their sights on nearest competitor Perry, and were finally able to put them in the rearview mirror today with the team’s season best 197. Sam Havey led the way with a 45 followed by Trevor Dunsmore carding a 48. Will Combs and Davis Garrett stepped up big and rounded out the team’s scoring with season best 52’s. The Pilgrims will be in action again Thursday when they will travel to Perry’s Glenbrier Golf Course. The team’s next goal is to put three scores in the 40’s!
