LCS Golf Finishes 3rd in Ovid Elsie Invitational

The boys varsity golf team has shown outstanding improvement the first month of the season and were able to capture an impressive 3rd place finish out of 10 much larger schools last Saturday at The Emerald in the Ovid-Elsie tournament. With temps in the low 40s and winds over 30mph, it was certainly challenging conditions for the young Pilgrim team made up of 6 freshman and 1 sophomore.
Leading the way for LCS and winning top 10 medalist honors was Sam Havey with a 91. Next lowest scores for the Pilgrims were Isaac Haley with 103, Davis Garrett with a 104, Trevor Dunsmore 105, and Philip Curry 116. The team has an 18 hole tournament on Monday, and GLAC conference play on Tuesday and Thursday.
