LCS Volleyball Receives AVCA Team Academic Award

The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced Monday that the Lansing Christian volleyball team was a recipient of the 2021-22 Team Academic Award. This is the first time in school history that the LCS volleyball team has received this honor.
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that excel in the classroom and maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
The Pilgrims compiled a team GPA of 3.74 for the 2021-22 school year.
“I am very proud of our team for being selected for this award," said head Coach Sarah Rottman. "The team works very hard both on and off the court."
